04 What I've Learned From Building Teams
The best work I've been part of happened when everyone understood they were solving the same problem.
I've worked with designers, developers, marketers, product managers, executives, engineers, and subject-matter experts. I've led, joined, and mentored teams, learning that creative leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about creating clarity so others can do their best work.
That means listening, asking questions, connecting perspectives, making room for others, and knowing when to step back.
I've often described my role as the "glue" between teams. The most valuable thing a creative leader can do isn't always create the solution, but bring together the people and ideas needed to find a better one.
AI will change how teams collaborate, but the human part of leadership will remain essential.
Good teams make good work. Great teams make each other better.
